Recent versions

Friends of Jimbo updates (1.0.1n / 1.0.1o)

The Friends of Jimbo collaborations added crossover cosmetic decks and card backs from other games. These are cosmetic and do not change scoring, but they ship alongside the version bumps that keep the build current. As of this writing the game sits at 1.0.1o-FULL.

Switch 2 release (February 25, 2026)

Balatro arrived on Nintendo Switch 2 on February 25, 2026, with a smoother port than the original Switch version. Owners of the Switch copy get the Switch 2 edition at no extra cost.

Update 1.0.1f (major balance patch)

The first substantial balance pass after launch, released for everyone after a public experimental beta:

Engine update. A newer build of Love2D fixed stuttering performance on Windows and Steam Deck.
Reduced Motion toggle. Removes the swirly background and most of the card animation for accessibility.
UI changes. Eternal, Rental and Perishable stickers moved to the top-left corner. Upcoming blinds and tags became visible in the shop right after a Boss Blind.
Balance. Adjustments to several poker hand scores and joker rarities, plus nerfs to the Sinful Jokers.

Update 1.0.1e

Smaller fixes and stability work ahead of 1.0.1f.

Update 1.0.0n

Upgraded Love2D, fixed a MacOS Big Sur launch failure, corrected a "Completionist+" unlock bug, and patched a challenge-run despawn exploit.
