How Triboulet scores

Triboulet gives ×3 Mult every time a King or Queen is played and scored. The effect is multiplicative and stacks per face card in the played hand.

• 1 King in the hand → ×3
• 2 Kings or Queens → ×9
• 4 Kings/Queens (e.g. a Four of a Kind on Kings, or two pairs of K and Q) → ×81
• 5 Kings/Queens (rare — only on certain Five of a Kind or with conversion effects) → ×243

Cards held in hand do NOT trigger Triboulet — only cards in the scoring hand do. That distinction matters because Baron is the opposite (hand-held Kings). The two jokers don't compete; they reward different card discipline.

How to actually get faces into the scored hand

A "fair" hand will rarely have 4+ face cards. You build a deck or use jokers that bias toward it:

• Pareidolia turns every card into a face card. Triboulet fires on all 5 scored cards in any hand. Five non-faces converted → ×3⁵ = ×243. This is the cleanest single-joker combo Triboulet has.
• Strength (Tarot): card rank +1, wrapping J→Q→K→A. Use repeatedly to convert mid-rank cards into Queens or Kings.
• Marble Joker + face-rank base deck: keeps the deck top-heavy with Kings/Queens.
• Anaglyph / Ghost / Erratic Deck runs: the converted card pool tends to favour face-heavy hands.

Blueprint + Brainstorm doubling

Triboulet is the canonical Blueprint target. The full chain Triboulet | Blueprint | Brainstorm:

• Triboulet fires itself.
• Blueprint reads Brainstorm → which reads Triboulet → re-fires.
• Brainstorm reads Triboulet directly → re-fires.

Three triggers on a 4-face hand: ×3⁴ × ×3⁴ × ×3⁴ = ×531,441 mult. This is the line every Triboulet seed run is built around.

When Triboulet is and isn't worth playing around

Take it on sight when:

• You can spawn it from The Soul in Ante 1 or 2. A game-defining seed is built around early Triboulet.
• You already have Pareidolia, Blueprint, or Brainstorm in your build.
• Your base deck is face-heavy (Anaglyph, certain Erratic rolls).

Skip / sell when:

• You're in late Ante 6+ with no face-conversion plan and your hand size won't accommodate building face count.
• You have a fully-developed Yorick or Glass Joker stack that's already past ×30 mult — Triboulet without Blueprint adds less than its slot is worth.
