How does the Balatro hand calculator score a hand?
Start from the poker hand and its hand level, which set the base chips and mult, then layer Jokers, editions (Foil, Holographic, Polychrome), seals and enhancements on top. The breakdown applies them in the same order Balatro does, so the final score matches what the game shows.
Why do some Jokers not change the score?
Jokers split into Auto and Manual. Auto Jokers add a fixed chip, mult or ×mult and are scored automatically. Manual Jokers (most rare and legendary ones) have conditional or contextual effects — the breakdown flags them as manual and leaves the score unchanged, so you never get a misleading total.
Can I compare two builds or share a calculation?
